Nature-Based Therapy

We all experience liminal times, whether we chose them or they choose us.

Hello love,

I’m Beth. I’m a nature-based counsellor and I work with people in the quieter, in-between moments of life. The times when something feels unsettled or tender. When things are shifting even if it’s hard to explain how or why.

My work takes place outdoors where the natural world becomes a gentle presence alongside us. Together we walk and we make space. Not to rush towards answers but to allow what is underneath to be noticed and understood in its own time.

There is something about being outside that can soften what feels tight inside. The steady rhythm of walking, the openness of the space around us and the calm presence of the earth can help the body settle and the mind feel a little less crowded. It becomes easier to breathe and easier to hear what is quietly asking for attention.

Sometimes the world inside feels too full and sometimes life feels like it has become a little too contained. Being in nature offers a widening. It gives you room to stretch, to exhale and to come back to yourself more gently.

My approach is slow and attentive. There is no need to sit still if that feels uncomfortable and no expectation to have the right words ready. You are welcome to arrive just as you are and we begin from there.

This way of working offers space to show up without effort, to explore what is present rather than fix what feels wrong and to be met with care rather than pace.

Blurry Forest

You are the best person I have ever spoken to about all of this & I greatly appreciate every tiny bit of you.

Who this therapy supports

Most people can benefit from exploring their inner world and there are so many reasons you may land here.

You might be feeling:

• overwhelmed and stretched thin
• stuck in thought loops
• aware something needs to change but unsure where to begin
• disconnected from your body or sense of self
• unsure how to meet the season of life you find yourself in

If any of this feels familiar, nature-based therapy can help you find your footing again, one step and one breath at a time.

Wherever you are, we’ll explore it together.

Why nature-based therapy matters

Nature has a way of reflecting what is moving within us. In the turning of the seasons, in the quieter periods of rest and in the steady return of growth, we often see something of our own experience.

When we allow ourselves to be held by that wider space, something softens and we begin to remember our own capacity to settle and to move in ways that feel natural rather than forced.

Therapy is not about fixing what is broken (you're not a tea cup, and you're definitely not broken). It is about gently coming back to yourself, remembering who you are underneath the noise and returning to what feels right.

How We’ll Work Together

We’ll meet outside, in a beautiful woodland just outside of Lincoln.

Each session lasts 50 minutes, and you set the pace.
We might walk the whole time or stop to sit and reflect.

We work cognitively

Through conversation, reflection and moments of silence.
We gently uncover what has brought you here, bringing each piece into the light and understanding how it formed. When you feel ready, we explore what can be released and what still needs care.

We work somatically

Through mind-body awareness, grounding practices and tuning into the wisdom of your nervous system.
You learn to recognise your body’s cues and reconnect with the steadiness you may have lost.

All the while, we remember that we are part of nature and that, just like her, we move through seasons.

Pricing & Practicailities

  • I offer medium-term therapy lasting six to twelve months, as well as longer-term work.

  • I work with a small number of people at a time and when space opens, I invite people from my waiting list.

  • We schedule review points every three months to make sure you still feel aligned with the process and to adjust anything that needs shifting.

  • Therapy is offered as weekly or fortnightly 50 minute sessions

  • Online sessions are available if you live outside Lincoln or if accessibility makes outdoor sessions more challenging. Hybrid therapy is also an option if you can occasionally travel to Lincolnshire.

Investment

£50 per session

If affordability is a challenge, a shorter, more focused block of sessions can still create meaningful change while building therapeutic momentum.

A note for Mummas on Maternity Leave: while you're figuring out the most enormous transformation you have ever experienced, the Government decides to decimate your pay. When you're on Maternity Leave, your sessions receive a 50% discount - I truly believe that in order for our little ones to thrive, we need our mummas to thrive also.

Things that are good to know

My counselling style is pluralistic, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to support your unique process. My main modality is Person-Centred, which simply means I follow your lead.
Sometimes clients think they have gone off on a tangent, but they have often shown me the exact thread we needed to pull. There may be times when I am a little more directive, but this space remains yours.

If you would like a gentle connection-check, we can arrange a call.

I work with a small number of clients at a time. If you feel drawn to this way of working, you’re welcome to add your name to my waiting list. I offer support slowly and intentionally and I reach out when space becomes available. You're of course welcome to book in a connection call at any point and we can see if we're the right fit.

I usually work on a term-time rhythm. Raising a small human means I take an extended summer break of around four to six weeks. If longer pauses between sessions do not feel supportive for you, I completely understand and can recommend other wonderful therapists.
If you appreciate the spaciousness that comes with occasional breaks, we may be a great fit. And don't worry, I will always give plenty of notice for planned time away.

I work with clients in the UK to stay aligned with insurance and scheduling requirements.
If you are outside the UK and curious about other ways of working together, feel free to reach out.

If you have other questions, you are very welcome to email me at beth@bethfullerwellness.co.uk, or book a chat and bring your list.
